Chapter 2 – The Old Log Cabin

“Dimitri, wake up.” As Gordon whispered to me to wake me up.  I gently opened my eyes, and looked out the window. It was just a wonderful day not even a cloud in the sky. I slowly sat up on the couch stretching my arms above my head. “Dimitri breakfast is ready.” Gordon yelled from the kitchen

“Breakfast?” I said to myself

I walked into the kitchen and I was shocked. Gordon had prepared a whole feast for me. The table was full of plates and cup filled with milk, orange juice, and water. “Dig in Dimitri” Gordon said happily.

“ Don’t mind if I do.” I said

I probably sat there for and hour just eating breakfast. After breakfast was done I stood up and said “Gordon I would like to thank you for all you have done. I have made the executive dissension to take you along on my journey to get us out of here.” Gordon looked sad. He looked at me with a puppy dogface and said “ Dimitri thank you for thinking of me, but I think of this as my home. I think it would be foolish of me to run away.”

“I understand,” I said

I grabbed my stuff and said me goodbyes. I went down the dirt road to restart my journey. I walked for about an hour and a half. Then I found the main road. I saw a big hill and started the long teak up. Halfway though I stopped to take a breath. I saw some thing I never had seen before. The most beautiful creature. I had no clue what it was so I did not touch it. It was a bird looking thing, but just the most beautiful colors. I stopped looked at it and kept walking. One hour, two hours, three hours went by and the hill was not ending.
